Come join us for the Theater Club at the French Library, a place to read, watch, discuss and recite contemporary and classic French plays with fellow enthusiasts! At the Theater Club, we'll discuss a different play every other month and read excerpts aloud to each other.

This club strives to foster discussion and dialogue around a love of contemporary theater and a chosen play: attendees are wholeheartedly encouraged to come and practice speaking in French. No acting skill required, and no public performances are planned!

Plays we have read:

May 2024 = Adieu Monsieur Haffmann by Jean-Philippe Daguerre.

March 2024 = 4211 km by Aïla Navidi.

January 2024 = Le voyageur sans bagage by Jean Anouilh.

November 2023 = Le dieu du carnage by Yasmina Reza.

September 2023 = Rentrée 42: Bienvenue les enfants by Pierre-Olivier Scotto and Xavier Lemaire.

May 2023 = Edmond by Alexis Michalik.

March 2023 = Jacques et son maître by Milan Kundera.
