The Obélix Room is one of our special classrooms for children. This room is ideal for kids’ parties, birthday parties, and education workshops for kids. The Alliance Room is one of two conference style rooms that we offer for rentals here at the French Library. This room is ideal for all business meetings or important presentations/seminars. The Victor Hugo Room is one of the larger classrooms we offer for rent, located on the fourth floor of the building. Our Berkeley Room is one of a few classrooms available for rent. This room is located on the first floor behind the reception, on the Berkeley Street side of the building. It is one of our more secluded rooms and is ideal for presentations and corporate meetings. The Berkeley Room is equipped with a smart board which can be connected to a personal computer, and a table and chairs for conferences, meetings, and presentations. Large windows offer natural light.

The Kitchen
The recently updated kitchen boasts state-of-the-art, industrial equipment such as the industrial fridge, stainless steel countertops and commercial grade stove. Our kitchen is the perfect place to hold either hands-on cooking workshops or cooking demonstrations with a private chef.

The Reading Room
The Reading Room is the main room of the library on the second floor, equipped with a long table for studying and working plus comfortable chairs and sofas for reading. This room can be used for social events and festive parties, ceremonies, or showers. It is also suitable for corporate meetings and presentations. The Reading Room is a unique space that lends an academic feel to your events with books lining the walls and has large windows facing out onto Marlborough and Berkeley Street that contribute to a light, airy atmosphere. With elevator access to the kitchen, it is possible to easily transport any catering and drinks to the reading room for your special events.

The Gallery
The Gallery is a unique space on the entry floor of the French Library, named for the art exhibitions that often take place in the room. This space has the perfect lighting and set up capabilities for festive gatherings, complete with a crystal chandelier and front-facing windows that look out onto beautiful Marlborough Street. The French doors to the gallery can be closed, making it ideal for private events and parties. It is possible to rent out the gallery for your own art events and small exhibitions, or for any other event needs you may have.

The Ducrest Room
The Ducrest Family Magazine Room is attached to the Founders’ Room on the first floor and is a great complement to a rental event in the Founders’ Room. The Ducrest Room has direct elevator access to the industrial kitchen on the ground floor so that caterers can transport food and wine. Windows face out onto Marlborough Street, lending a light and open feel to the space.

The Founders' Room
The Founders’ Room is one of three main rooms on the entrance floor of the French Library. It is the main event space where we often hold lectures, performances, dinners, and many other soirees. It is perfect for a wide array of upscale gatherings and can be rented at the same time as the other two rooms on the first floor. The Founders’ Room has a Steinway grand piano and is fully equipped with speakers and an A/V system. This room has a unique, historic feel from the antique Belgian boiserie walls and traditional gold detailing.
