Learning French is a journey. Maybe you just started or you have been studying this beautiful language for years. Wherever you are and however you are learning (of course we hope we are helping you along the way!), it’s a good idea to supplement your formal learning with additional resources.

If you are looking for ideas for said resources, we’ve got you covered! Below are a few recent resource favorites from Natalie, Clémence, and Ingrid for learning, practicing, and enriching your French skills.

Natalie: Get your daily dose of French from Instagram account francaisavecpierre

Following francaisavecpierre makes me feel good about being on Instagram! A friend recommended this account this summer and I love seeing the posts pop up on my feed. The account boasts a variety of content including idiomatic expressions, quotes, instructions on tricky grammar points, and seasonally relevant vocabulary.

Clémence: Enhance your cooking vocabulary and skills with Emmanuelle Jary

I heard about Emmanuelle Jary via Instagram and went to check her website for the first time only a few weeks ago. I really enjoyed the content. It’s not a mystery that I am a food lover and with c’est meilleur quand c’est bon I have definitely found a great resource. Of course you won’t find any grammar explanations, however you will learn new vocabulary, improve your listening skills, find a lot of great spots to dine (yes, even in the US!), and discover simple recipes from all over the world to make at home! What more could we ask for?

Ingrid: Practice listening with the Superhéros podcast

Superhéros is a lovely podcast with 7 seasons that focuses on the everyday lives of selected “heroes.” Each season focuses on one person and their story: Hélène, Paul, Vanessa, Hafizou, Annie, Rebecca, and Christophe. These conversations are wonderfully produced, with gorgeous sound quality and background music to set the audio scene for the conversations. This podcast is a great way to practice listening comprehension! If, like me, you are a fan of podcasts en français, you can find all of my recommendations here!
