Dear friends,

On this Giving Tuesday, I invite you to pause with me and reflect on something truly precious: the importance of culture, language, and human connection in a world that often feels uncertain and fast-moving.

At the French Library, we see every day how deeply people crave meaning, community, and beauty. We see children discovering entire new worlds through books and stories. We see teens gaining confidence as they explore new perspectives. We see adults reconnecting with curiosity and with one another. And together, we see how French language and Francophone cultures open minds, expand horizons, and help all of us understand each other.

In a moment when technology is accelerating at lightning speed—and when so much of life happens on screens—the French Library plays an increasingly vital role in Boston. It is a refuge, a third space where people gather to learn, to laugh, to think, and to belong. A destination that keeps alive the irreplaceable cultural and human experiences that shape who we are.

Donate Today!

This year alone, your support has helped us:

- welcome hundreds of children who are growing into strong readers and confident, curious learners
- teach teens and adults who are becoming informed, empathetic global citizens

- bring the richness of the Francophone world to Boston through films, authors and scholars talks, gastronomy & wine courses, concerts, exhibitions, and conversations

- preserve one of the largest private French-language collections in the United States

But there is so much more we can do—and we cannot do it without you.

Your gift supports the values that France has offered the world—liberty, culture, human dignity, and the belief that learning can transform lives.

Your gift keeps alive the long, beautiful friendship between France and the United States.

And your gift ensures that the French Library remains a place where the future still feels bright—a place where every person, at every age, can grow into a citizen of the world. Since we are a nonprofit organization, your donation is fully tax-deductible and helps us continue this vital work.

If the French Library has inspired you, welcomed you, or opened your world even a little, give today. And if you are new to us, know that your support will have a direct, meaningful impact on the children, families, and lifelong learners who walk through our doors.

This Giving Tuesday, we invite you to stand with the French Library and keep this extraordinary place thriving for generations to come.

Merci du fond du cœur for believing in our mission—and for being part of the French Library family.

With gratitude and hope,
