Throughout March we are honoring diversity of the Francophone world!  What better way to celebrate than offering a toast to our Francophone friends with this drink from the French Caribbean?*

In this video we show you how to concoct a ti punch, a popular apéritif in this region.  Ti punch is both made at home and served in restaurants. Sometimes you will find the ingredients sitting at your table when you dine out and you can make your own!  This is known as chacun prepare sa propre mort (each one prepare's his own death).  The drink is usually made with rhum agricole (agricultural rum) made from pure cane juice, unlike other rums in the world which are made from molasses or even potatoes. We hope you enjoy and raise our glass to all French speakers everywhere. Santé !

*The Francophonie region of the Carribbean includes Francophonie member states Saint Lucia and Haiti, départment d'outre-mer Guadeloupe, collectivités territoriales uniques French Guiana and Martinique,  and les collectivités d'outre-mer Saint Barthélemy and Saint Martin.

What's your favorite Caribbean cocktail or mocktail?
