Chef Lamia Mrabet

Born and raised in Tangier, Morocco, Chef Lamia Mrabet is a culinary educator, entrepreneur, and founder of The Queen of Spice, an artisanal spice company inspired by the rich traditions of Moroccan hospitality and cuisine. Growing up in a multilingual household, Lamia developed a passion for cooking at an early age, learning family recipes and traditional spice blending techniques from her grandmother.

Drawing on a lifetime of experience preparing Moroccan and international dishes, Lamia shares the vibrant flavors, aromas, and cultural traditions that define Moroccan cuisine. Her approach emphasizes the power of food to bring people together, reflecting the Moroccan belief that sharing a meal is an act of connection, generosity, and community.

Today, Lamia teaches cooking classes throughout New England and crafts small-batch spice blends inspired by the cuisines of Morocco, Spain, France, Egypt, Persia, and Turkey. Through her classes, she invites guests to explore authentic ingredients, traditional techniques, and the art of creating memorable meals around the table.
