About writer and performer Léonore Chaix
Léonore Chaix is an accomplished actress, trained at Shakespeare & Company in the U.S., where she debuted at the American Repertory Theater in Cambridge, MA, in Henry V by Shakespeare. She later studied at the École Supérieure du Théâtre and Cours Florent, learning under distinguished figures like Carlo Boso and Ariane Mnouchkine.
Her notable theater roles include Les Trois Sœurs by Chekhov, Dom Juan by Molière, and Cymbeline by Shakespeare, under the direction of directors such as Silviu Purcarete and Pierre Chabert. Chaix’s film credits include Elle est des nôtres by Siegrid Alnoy and La Belle Verte by Coline Serreau, alongside several television appearances, including Avocats et associés. She has also produced a radio series for Radio France on the singer Sanseverino.
About director Anne Le Guernec
Anne Le Guernec is an actress and director with a diverse career across film, television, and theater, including roles in the American pilot Doorways by George R.R. Martin. As a director, she has led productions at the Opéra du Rhin, such as Donizetti’s La Favorite and Ravel’s L’heure espagnole. Her theater work includes both acting and directing in classic works by Molière, Camus, and Sartre.
About moderator Deborah Hahn
Deborah Hahn earned her doctorate in French Studies from Brown University in 1999, specializing in representations of women, marriage, and widowhood in French theater of the late 17th and early 18th centuries. She has served as a Class Dean at Brandeis University and currently teaches French at Newton South High School.Our partner
