Summer in French for Kids (ages 3-9)

Give your child a full immersion experience of summer fun and learning! With native French-speaking and bilingual teachers, varied and engaging curriculum, and a convenient location in the heart of Back Bay, our Summer in French program is the perfect way to improve your child's skills and confidence in French, no matter their age or level. Each week focuses on a theme with a variety of special activities geared for children to increase their vocabulary and stimulate their conversation skills. Outdoor activities take place at a nearby playground and at the Boston Common.


Cooking weeks: We are a nut-free environment; however, we cannot guarantee that all ingredients are completely free from nuts or cross-contact. Our kitchen cannot be entirely allergen-free, and we are unable to accommodate specific dietary needs. If your child has allergies or food restrictions, we strongly recommend enrolling them in a non-cooking week.

Summer in French for Teens (Ages 12-15)

Looking for a way to boost your teen's French skills this summer? Our new Discovery Workshops and Back-to-School Refresher Sessions are designed for advanced beginners and above; perfect for teens who already have some French and want to take it further. Our programs go beyond learning-it's about using the language through interactive activities, cultural and artistic exploration, and real-world communication practice. Led by native and bilingual instructors, teens will build confidence, fluency, and cultural awareness in a fun, engaging environment.

Teens Discounts:
  • Early Bird Discount: Registrations received by end of day March 31, 2026, will automatically receive 10% off the total amount at checkout.
  • Additional Multi-Week Discount: Families registering two (2) or more children for a minimum of two (2) weeks or registering one (1) child for a minimum of four (4) weeks, will receive an additional 5%. To apply the multi-week discount, you must contact the Education Department by 03/31/26 at youthprograms@frenchlibrary.org If self-enrolled online, the discount will only be issued as a credit (not a refund).  
  • No discounts may be processed after March 31, 2026.
