Wine Seminar - Provence

Join us in the elegant Victorian Founder's Room for our sixth Wine Seminar of the year, dedicated to exploring Provence through its wines.

Provence, a picturesque region in southeastern France, is renowned for its lavender fields, stunning coastlines, and a rich winemaking history that spans over two thousand years. Famous for its crisp, refreshing rosés, the region's vineyards stretch across diverse landscapes, from the Mediterranean coast to the hinterland. The sunny climate is perfect for producing excellent reds, while cooler spots yield high-quality whites. Though not as famous as other French wine regions, Provence remains popular among winemakers, growing varieties like Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre, and Cinsault, which contribute to its diverse and flavorful wine offerings.

Jo-Ann Ross, Provence Wine Master Educator and Director of Education for the Boston Sommelier Society, will be the perfect host to guide us through the different wines of Provence. With her wealth of knowledge and expertise, Jo-Ann will offer invaluable insights into our meticulously curated selection of white, red, and rosé wines from the Provence region, enriching participants' understanding and appreciation of this esteemed wine region.
