Dear Friends,

Merci!

That is undoubtedly one of the first French words you learned.

At this half-way point through the year, as I reflect on your involvement with the French Library, I am moved to say, “Thank you!”

The events of the past few years have changed many aspects of everyday life – especially people’s behaviors, choices, and priorities. I am very grateful to you for keeping the French Library at the top of your list.

Thank you for your unwavering support; for acknowledging that a nonprofit organization both serves and needs its community; for coming back on-site to participate in cultural and social events in our beautifully renovated building; for writing to us and sharing your thoughts about the building, our programs, and classes. Your feedback helps us improve what we do to serve you better.

I hope to see you at our July 14 Bastille Day celebration at La Voile Brookline, which is always a grand time! We are working on exciting fall programming, which you will hear about at our Open House on September 7. Put the date on your calendar now – and invite your friends to show them why you love the French Library!

Did you know that the French Library is an independent American nonprofit that doesn’t receive any government funding? (Not French, not American – none at all!) We could not operate without your support, and we welcome your generous donations, which are tax-deductible. Every donation sustains our operations – and helps to reduce the mortgage used to help finance the renovation.

Celebrate the summer season: come visit us soon and mingle with your French Library friends! And, encore et toujours, merci!

Sincerely,

Barbara
