Join us in the elegant Victorian Founder's Room for our next Wine Seminar dedicated to exploring the world-renowned Champagne region of France.

Through our expert-led tasting, guests will learn about the terroir of Champagne—the combination of chalky soils, ideal climate, and centuries-old winemaking techniques that give this wine its signature elegance. We’ll examine how Champagne is a symbol of French savoir-faire and artistry, representing celebration, prestige, and the refinement of French culture.

We will provide you with an authentic French perspective and access to a great array of quality Champagne. In this Champagne wine seminar, Kim Simone, Certified Cicerone and French wine scholar, will be our esteemed instructor, bringing her wealth of knowledge and expertise to offer an educational insight into the selection of Champagne wines.

Throughout the seminar, you'll enjoy guided tastings of carefully selected sparkling Champagnes, paired with delightful bites.

About Kim Simone

Kim Simone is a passionate wine and beer educator, making the subjects accessible, engaging, and fun for professionals and enthusiasts alike. With a career of almost two decades in the beverage industry she was previously the Corporate Sommelier for the Legal Sea Foods restaurant group. She is currently the Manager of the Commonwealth Wine School where she teaches wine and beer classes and is the wine buyer and event coordinator. Kim holds Level 3 Certificates in Wine and Spirits through both the WSET and the Elizabeth Bishop Wine School, is a Certified Specialist of Wine, and attained the distinction of both French Wine Scholar and Spanish Wine Scholar with Highest Honors from the Wine Scholar Guild. She has the distinction of being one of the first two Champagne Specialists awarded by the Comité Champagne in the US, and in addition to being a Certified Cicerone® was one of the first people in the world to be a WSET Certified Educator in Beer after obtaining her WSET Level 2 Award in Beer. She has a Masters’ Degree in Gastronomy from Boston University and a BA from Colgate University.
