About the Book

bilingual-revolution Conceived as a practical, accessible, “How to” book, The Bilingual Revolution, the Future of Education is in Two Languages is the story of a movement told through the eyes of parents and educators who founded dual language programs in their schools. All share the belief that bilingual education is a public good that can positively transform a child, a school, a community, and even a country.

The Bilingual Revolution tells the story of successes and setbacks through vignettes of parents and educators who created free, high-quality bilingual programs, and inspired others to do the same. In their diversity, these portraits paint a picture of a viable 21st century solution to preserve linguistic heritage and to raise a generation of young bilingual, bi-literate, multicultural citizens of the world.
