For le Mois de la francophonie, we are partnering with La Délégation du Québec to offer you an exclusive film viewing!

After years living in Maroc, and now suffering from terminal lung cancer, Pierrot has decided to return to his hometown in Québec, to see his old chums and settle his affairs. But he has another project in mind for which he will need the help of his closest friend. A story about trust, love, friendship, wisdom and finding peace.

With Les vieux chums, his 10th feature film, director Claude Gagnon delivers a sober, moving and very personal work.

The movie is in French with English subtitles. The movie will be followed by a discussion in French

About the movie:

Knowing that he is terminally ill, Pierrot goes back to his hometown, Saint-Hyacinthe, to see some old friends and try to reconcile with others. He asks his childhood friend Jacques to help him die as peacefully as possible. Once a foosball master, Pierrot wants to settle his relationships so he can die without suffering, and even have a positive impact on the people who stay with him to the end. The two friends have been through a lot together, but this challenge is by far the hardest.
