Mois de la Francophonie 2021: Virtual Launch Celebration

March is le mois de la Francophonie! This year we cannot welcome all of you at the Center to meet Francophone institutions based in the area. However we didn’t want to miss the opportunity to virtually gather and offer you to learn more about those institutions.

Come meet representatives from businesses, governments, and nonprofits and learn more about their community offerings, calendar of events, studies, and work and visa programs.

We will start the night with welcoming speeches and demos of several cocktails from diverse parts of la francophonie. Then we will offer you the chance to be part of 3 different breakout rooms with the institutions of your choices, choices that you will make when you register for the event. Each of the 3 sessions of the breakout rooms will last 10min. You will be able to meet one institution per session, for a total of 3 throughout the event.

Cocktails recipes:

Le Caribou:

• 30 ml (2 c. à soupe) de brandy
  
• 30 ml (2 c. à soupe) de vodka
  
• 75 ml (1/3 tasse) de porto
  
• 75 ml (1/3 tasse) de xérès
  

• Un volume de Rhum
  
• Jus d'orange ou de goyave
  
• 1/2 volume de sucre de canne
  
• Noix de muscade
  
  

• 1 to 2 ounces gin (or cognac)
  
• 1 teaspoon simple syrup
  
• 1/2 ounce fresh lemon juice
  
• 4 ounces Champagne
  
• Garnish : lemon twist
