Discover the golden glow of Provence’s mimosa season with Anastasia Sokolow, founder of Maison Sulékó in Paris, known for her passion for weaving stories through scent. Follow the “Route du Mimosa”, where fields of yellow blooms stretch from the snow-capped Alps to the Mediterranean Sea, with the Massif du Tanneron at its heart—home to Europe’s largest mimosa forest.

Anastasia will share how a tree from Australia became a beloved symbol of Provence. She’ll guide you on three scenic treks: through the Tanneron Forest’s golden sea of blooms, up hillside trails where mimosa intertwines with eucalyptus, and across the Esterel Mountains, where yellow blossoms contrast with the blue Mediterranean. Along the way, you’ll discover how Provence’s climate, soil, and landscape shape the fragrance of mimosa. Learn how local farmers transform mimosa and eucalyptus into "absolue" and essential oil—the key elements of luxury perfumes. Explore the intricate art of extraction and the craftsmanship that captures their purest essence. Through the Sulékó language of scents, Anastasia reveals the hidden messages in the fragrances of mimosa and eucalyptus, where scents and emotions intertwine to tell a story through fragrance.

MATERIAL FOR THE 1:30 HOUR MASTERCLASS:

Each participant will receive a special kit* containing:

1 dried eucalyptus leaf and/or mimosa flower
Mimosa Absolue diluted in alcohol (0.1 ml sample vial)
Eucalyptol diluted in alcohol (0.1 ml sample vial)
2ml spray sample of Albho- Eau de Parfum
Paper blotters to discover the scent ingredients and perfume

Each participant will be greeted with a glass of mimosa and lite bites, setting the tone for a truly immersive and indulgent experience.

Anastasia Sokolow, the designer

The secret and mysterious world of perfume was unveiled to me at Yves Saint Laurent Beauté. This was the beginning of a great passion. I then followed high level trainings at the Higher International Institute of Perfume, Cosmetics, and Food Flavouring (ISIPCA) and studied the great classics of French Haute Parfumerie, preserved by the Osmothèque Conservatory of Perfumes; I immersed myself in this magical world of top-level expertise. Today, as a member of the French Society of Perfumers, I wish to share my passion and make the choice of a perfume an experience which awakens the senses and is much more than an encounter; it is a thunderbolt, a feeling of rediscovering oneself.

SULÉKÓ, The echo of your soul

This name recalls a Georgian poem, which became a very popular Russian song, “Souliko”. This song is about a young man who is seeking his soul mate. It is through smelling the wonderful scent of a rose that he eventually finds her.

This very moving song pays tribute to the power of perfume. Perfume is a reflection of oneself. It tells our story and reveals something about us even before we have said a word. It also survives us, as the most vivid memory of a being. A well-chosen fragrance will magnify the person who wears it, will act as an aura, a second skin, the echo of the soul – “soul-echo”.

SULÉKÓ reflects the approach of a Russian perfumer who emigrated to France after the Revolution: Konstantin Weriguine. He worked alongside Ernest Beaux at Bourjois-Chanel. In his book, “Souvenirs et Parfums” (“Memories and Perfumes”), he describes beautifully the scents of Russia. SULÉKÓ was inspired by this approach and created four universes defined olfactively, but also emotionally: SULÉKÓ WINTER, SULÉKÓ SPRING, SULÉKÓ SUMMER and SULÉKÓ FALL. Each universe matches a specific state of mind, a personnality or a phase of our life.
