About Allison Grant Lounes

Allison Grant Lounes speaks on multiple topics related to creating a new life in France, starting a business in France, and finding opportunities to relocate temporarily or permanently to France. She runs the 15,000+ member Facebook group “Americans in France,” and her company “Your Franceformation” supports hundreds of clients annually as they navigate the visa application and relocation process.

Originally from the Boston, MA area, Allison relocated to France after graduating from Columbia University with a BA in French and Romance Philology and the Middlebury College French School with an MA in French. She completed a master’s degree in Comparative Literature at Université de Paris VII – Denis Diderot and studied at the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales.

In 2011, she began writing about how to move to Paris independently to study and work, took over the Americans in France Facebook group in 2013, and in 2014 began providing relocation services worldwide. She has lived in the Paris area with her family since 2009. She also created the online courses Fast Track to France and The Complete French Business Incubator.
