About Allison Grant Lounes

AGL
Allison Grant Lounes speaks on multiple topics related to creating a new life in France, starting a business in France, and finding opportunities to relocate temporarily or permanently to France. She runs the 15,000+ member Facebook group "Americans in France'', and her company "Your Franceformation'' supports hundreds of clients annually as they navigate the visa application and relocation process. Originally from the Boston, MA area, Allison relocated to France after graduating from Columbia University with a BA in French and Romance Philology and the Middlebury College French School with an MA in French. She completed a master's degree in comparative Literature at the Université de Paris VII - Denis Diderot and also studied at the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales. In 2011, she began writing about how to move to Paris independently to study and work, took over the Americans in France Facebook group (then 700 members) in 2013, and in 2014, she began providing relocation services to clients all over France and the world. She has been living in the Paris area with her family since 2009. She has also created an online course on planning a move to France, called Fast Track to France, and one on starting a business and receiving a self-employment visa, called The Complete French Business Incubator. Along with her team, she is currently working on her next program for helping people navigate French bureaucracy upon arrival, and she hosts a podcast, Profiles in Franceformation, sharing inspiring stories from people who have moved to France.
