About Christophe Honoré

Christophe Honoré is a celebrated French filmmaker, writer, and playwright known for his poetic and emotionally rich storytelling. A former children's author, he rose to prominence with acclaimed films like Love Songs, Inside Paris, and Winter Boy. His work blends music, literature, and cinema, often exploring themes of love and identity. His adaptation of Les Malheurs de Sophie brings new life to the classic tale with imagination and heart.







About The Countess of Ségur

The Countess of Ségur (1799–1874) is one of France’s most beloved children’s authors. Born in Russia and writing in French later in life, she published over 20 novels as part of Hachette’s iconic Bibliothèque rose series. Her stories, filled with mischief, moral lessons, and charm, have sold millions of copies and remain staples of French childhood. Generations continue to rediscover her vivid characters through new editions, adaptations, and screen retellings.
