Ahead of our screening of Peau d’Âne, join us for a special edition of our Atelier de Cuisine inspired by one of the film’s most iconic moments: the beloved recette du Cake d’Amour, sung and prepared by Catherine Deneuve for her prince.

In this hands-on culinary workshop led by chef Cécile Penot-Dietrich, you will learn to make the perfect holiday Cake d’Amour—a heartfelt treat for friends, family, or someone special. Cécile has created a unique recipe inspired by the film’s iconic scene, crafted just for this event. Step by step, you’ll bring this legendary Peau d’Âne moment into your own kitchen.

This class is open to all, and tweens and teens ages 10 and up are especially welcome to join the fun and discover a tasty piece of French cinema history.

Once your Cake d’Amour is out of the oven, you’ll be able to taste it on the spot during a friendly goûter-apéro or take your creation home to share with loved ones. Don’t forget to also reserve your seats for the special screening of Peau d’Âne starting at 6:30 pm that evening.

Cécile Penot Dietrich

Cécile Penot Dietrich is a professional Chef graduated from CSCA professional Chef’s program. She created French in the Kitchen, a cooking class business in Arlington, MA, in 2015. She is passionate about sharing her decades long love for cooking with kids and adults by teaching a variety of classes including after school, corporate events, thematic classes.

Originally a French attorney by trade, changed my career path after her relocation to the Boston area, 15 years ago.
