FCC Travel Club

Do you enjoy traveling to France and other French-speaking places? If so, join us for the next meeting of the FCC's Travel Club!

Red wine or white wine? Both?! For September's travel club we'll travel to the Loire Valley and the Beaujolais regions of France. Member and travel agent Liz Marjollet will help us discover vineyards, other points of interests in these regions, tell us how to get from here to there, and let us know where to save and where to splurge.

In the second half of the meeting, we'll talk mixing with locals, a special take on terroir. If you have an interesting story (and pictures) of a host family you stayed with or a baker you became friends with, we want to hear about it. How do you get to know locals when you travel and how do they enhance your travel experience? At Travel Club you’ll meet people who love to travel like you do. You’ll share your travel experiences and discoveries. You'll trade tips on how to get there, where to stay, what to do, and more. Best of all, you’ll meet and make friends with people who share your passion for traveling to France and other Francophone places. The Travel Club is open to members of the French Library + 1 guest.

About Liz Marjollet

Having studied French language and linguistics and worked in the travel industry for eight years, Liz is always eager to share her knowledge and engage with other francophiles. She has spent significant time exploring France in both a personal and professional capacity and hopes to continue exploring for years to come. She works for Audley Travel, a local tour operator covering 75 destinations worldwide, where she creates personalized trips to France.
