FCC Travel Club: Holiday Edition!

At La Voile Brookline

Alsace, especially the city of Strasbourg, is known for its festive holiday markets. For the next edition of travel club, we're going to explore this region with a lecture, wine tasting, and food tasting! Don't miss this special in-person, multi-faceted event.

We'll start the evening with travel director Véronique Banzet taking us on a tour of Alsace and the holiday markets with a special presentation of the region. Then, Chelsea Bell of Gordon's Wines will lead us in a wine tasting of beverages from the region. Throughout the night you will enjoy Alsatian-inspired bites from our hosts at La Voile and have the opportunity to win a very special prize package including a membership to the FCC, a gift certificate to Gordon's Wines, and $50 to La Voile! It's a perfect way to spend the holidays with your fellow members!

Our mini- dîner:

Tarte aux onion flambée
Quiche Lorraine
Choucroute, au saucisson à l'ail version La Voile (La Voile's own garlic and saucisson sauerkraut)
Pain d'épice (gingerbread)

Event in English and French. Registration ends November 26 at 11 pm. This event includes open seating.

Face coverings are required when you are not drinking or eating. All guests must bring proof of their vaccination OR a negative COVID test result received within 72 hours prior to the event.

About Véronique Banzet

Véronique is a French native and worldwide citizen. She has been living in different countries for 30 years. Her signature approach to teaching wine combines unbridled enthusiasm and effortless hospitality with vinous expertise. Chelsea has traveled to many of the world’s top wine destinations including Italy, France, and California and always continues her thirst for new knowledge. While working with Gordon’s, she has developed walkaround tastings for hundreds of Massachusetts beverage enthusiasts, corporate events, seminars, dinners, and even a monthly wine club, CruBox with the goal in mind of making wine fun for the novice and the expert alike!
