About this Event

Our educational workshops for members are perfect for those who want to practice and extend their French language studies but can't commit to a full class session. Each workshop is guided by our monthly theme. For February our theme is coup de foudre (love at first sight) and we're exploring how to create lovely language in the language of love!

About Benjamin Capellari

BCap
A native of France, Benjamin is a graduate of the Lycée Louis-le-Grand, the École Normale Supérieure, the Sorbonne and the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales. Educated as a generalist throughout his academic career, he strives to find crossroads between varying fields and perspectives, intertwining geography, arts, musicology, and ancient and modern languages. Uniting his interests between philosophy and classics, and his musical work as a composer, his research interests led him to work on Greek music with the École française d’Athènes. He previously taught French language, literature and culture in Europe (University of Bristol) and the United States (Smith College, George Washington University, American University).
