At The French Library Get Directions

Our educational workshops for members are back!

This October, we take you to Québec with the help of our teacher, Myriam. We'll explore the differences between Canadian and European French and get to practice some words and phrases used in Québec that aren't common in mainland France. We'll dive into the history of Québecois and maybe even get to practice our Canadian accents!

This workshop is perfect for intermediate/advanced learners (level B1 +) who want to learn new vocabulary, explore another culture through language, and practice a different side of the French language.

About this Event

Our educational workshops for members are perfect for those who want to practice and extend their French language studies but can't commit to a full class session. Each workshop is guided by a theme. For October our theme is Québec and we're providing the opportunity to discover the unique language and culture of this region.

About Myriam Facher Bilodeau

Born and raised in Québec, the French province of Canada, Myriam is a touche-à-tout: she likes to knit, cook, read, run, do yoga, write, ski and, above all, she likes to discover new cultures. Back home, she worked as a communications advisor for government, university, and community organizations. Now, she is finishing a degree in Professional French Writing.
