Discover Brookline’s Cottage Farm Historic District with Liliane Duséwoir

We are continuing our beloved series of tours en français – and, à la demande générale, we are returning to Brookline!

Architecture lovers, join us for a 90-minutes stroll to discover Brookline’s Cottage Farm Historic District. We will start our walk at Marsh Plaza (Boston University). Our guide, Boston University faculty member Liliane Duséwoir will share with us some details about Marsh Plaza before heading up to the Cottage Farm district. Liliane will share historical and architectural elements to better understand the neighborhood and its beautiful mansions. The walk will end at Coolidge Corner. Liliane is looking forward to answering your questions!

This tour will be led in French.

Please be at Marsh Plaza at 05:50 PM so the tour can begin at 6:00 PM sharp. Please note that this tour is not a loop; we will end the tour at Coolidge Corner.

Bring your own bottled water, and be sure to wear a pair of comfortable shoes!

About Your Guide, Liliane Duséwoir

After obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in translation & interpretation in Belgium, Liliane specialized in the field of Linguistics and pursued her graduate studies as a Fulbright scholar at Boston University in the late 90s. In the U.S., Liliane has taught at Brown University and at the College of the Holy Cross. She joined Boston University’s department of Romance Studies in 2006 and is an award-winning Faculty-in-Residence. She also serves on the board of Directors of the Massachusetts Foreign Language Association. Liliane is passionate about Boston’s history and heritage and regularly leads guided walks for BU students.
