Ciné-Stroll in French with Barbara

Calling all cinéphiles! Do you know that Boston has been the backdrop of many famous films? Join our in-house movie expert Barbara Bouquegneau in a movie scene scavenger hunt around Boston! We will start the walk in front of the State House on Beacon Street. We will be strolling for about an hour and a half. Barbara will share with you her incredible cinema knowledge and she will be pleased to answer all your questions.

This in-person walking tour will be led in French.

Please be ready in front of the State House at 10:00 AM so the tour can begin at 10:15 AM sharp. Bring your own bottled water, and be sure to wear a pair of comfortable shoes!

Rain date: Sunday, June 13th at 10:15 AM.

The mask mandate that was lifted for outdoors does not apply to events. Everyone is required to use a face covering.

About Your Guide, Barbara Bouquegneau

Barbara has worked at the French Library for 24 years. After studying in her native Belgium and working on several film festivals, Barbara came to Boston to pursue a Master’s in Film Production from Boston University, which led her to produce a number of independent films. Barbara became Executive Director of the FCC in 2016 and to this day, has kept her beloved responsibility of animating our monthly ciné-club. Recently, the FCC was honored to be the exclusive partner of the Boston French Film Festival and you can watch Barbara interview French film director Anne Fontaine here.
