About the Film

Directors: Vincent Paronnaud and Marjane Satrapi
Actors:  Mathieu Almaric and Edouard Baer

After his beloved violin is broken, Nasser Ali Khan (played by Mathieu Amalric), one of the most renowned musicians of his day, has lost all taste for life. Finding no instrument worthy of replacing it, he decides to confine himself to bed until he dies. As he awaits the arrival of death, he is carried away by visions of the past, particularly of his lost love. The film lets the spectator accompany him on this bizarre and strangely beautiful journey. This stylish fairy tale is directed by Persepolis's Vincent Paronnaud and Marjane Satrapi.

The screening will conclude with an open discussion led by our in-house film expert, Barbara Bouquegneau.
