About the Speaker
Selen Hotamisligil has taught bridge to more than 100 students throughout New England, helping beginners and experienced players alike build confidence through interactive lessons and guided practice. Her teaching emphasizes learning by doing, combining clear instruction with carefully selected hands that allow students to immediately apply new concepts at the table.
An accomplished competitor, Selen has won numerous regional tournaments, competed nationally, and represented her community internationally. In 2026, she won the Silver Medal in the Open Pairs at the European Bridge Championships in Prague, finished fifth in the European Mixed Teams Championship, and placed seventh in the Worldwide Simultaneous Pairs Finals in China. She has also earned two fourth-place finishes at the ACBL North American Championships.
As Educational Liaison for the Eastern Massachusetts Bridge Association (EMBA), Selen is dedicated to growing the game across New England and introducing new generations of players to the many rewards of bridge.Upcoming Events
