Beaujolais Nouveau Celebration at La Voile Brookline

At La Voile Brookline

Every third Thursday in November, France celebrates Le Beaujolais nouveau. Join us at La Voile Brookline to taste the 2021 millésime from Georges Duboeuf, the best known Beaujolais nouveau wine maker. Come and meet your fellow francophiles while enjoying this wine and your favorite French appetizers.

Registrations end on Tuesday, November the 16th at 4pm

Menu:

3 glasses of Beaujolais nouveau per person
Olive tapenade
Pissaladière
Croque-monsieur
Saucisson brioche
Duck Rillettes
Saumon fumé sur endive, crème fraîche ciboulette
Gougères
Brie honey grapes toast
Cannelés

Please note that this is a standing party. Please email us at culture@frenchlibrary.org to request a seat/chair, if needed.

Face coverings are required when you are not drinking or eating.

All guests must bring proof of their vaccination OR a negative COVID test result received within 72 hours prior to the event on Tuesday, 18. Our cultural manager will check them at the restaurant entrance.

About Georges Duboeuf

Beaujolais. Doesn’t the word alone have a magical sound to it? Beaujolais is a wine to be celebrated. Built in our family’s image, we have worked throughout the years to make Beaujolais an essential addition to every table. This wine is as popular as it is festive, friendly and joyful.

The story begins over 4 centuries ago, when the Duboeuf family was producing wine in the Mâconnais region. Georges was very young when his uncle and brother passed down both their passion for wine and their secrets of production. At just 18 years old, he preferred to take care of the family business with his brother rather than pursuing his studies.
