This event is SOLD OUT. Thank you for your support! Bastille Day is back! Our annual street party is Boston’s biggest French fête with live music, dancing in the street, and delicious food and drink. All are welcome to celebrate la Fête Nationale and the historic friendship between la République Française and the United States.

Each year, our annual block party attracts 2,000 New Englanders to enjoy the flavors, sounds, and joie de vivre of France! This event offers fun for everyone, families included, with activities for children offered between 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM.

*Tickets can be purchased in advance for $33, or at the event for $40, if available. Children under 10 enter for free! All tickets will be mailed or available for pickup at the Center starting June 13.

This event is rain-or-shine. Tickets are non-refundable; strollers and backpacks are strictly prohibited.

Music

One of the biggest highlights of Bastille Day in Boston is our live music concert. This year, we are thrilled to welcome:

Sidi Touré, an award-winning singer/songwriter from Bamako, Mali and acclaimed practitioner of Songhaï Music/Blues. Before launching his solo career, Touré led Gao’s regional orchestra, The Songhaï Stars. In 2011, he released Sahel Folk, his debut album for Thrill Jockey, touring North America and Europe for the first time. For his fourth release, Toubalbero (a big traditional drum used to call and gather people in Gao), Touré has created a danceable, dynamic, and joyous album that includes some of the most exciting new faces on the Mailian music scene.

Lakou Mizik, a multigenerational collective of musicians from across Haiti blending Troubadou, Vodou, Rara, and Urban soul into a danceable bouyon of modern roots music. Formed in the aftermath of Haiti’s 2010 earthquake, the group’s elder legends and rising young talents united in a mission to honor the healing spirit of their collective culture and communicate a message of pride, strength, and hope to their countrymen and the world.

Food & Drink

Some of Boston’s most popular restaurants and vendors for French and French-inspired food will be at our street festival! From crêpes and waffles to gourmet desserts and tasty croque monsieurs, there is something for everyone. (Beer and wine will also be available for sale.)
