Music
Inspired by the spirit of a bal des pompiers, our Bastille Day celebration features two lively and intimate concerts that bring the heart of France to Boston:
Lily K. Smith, a French-American soprano based in Boston, brings a fresh take on variété française, interpreting songs by Zaz, Françoise Hardy, and Carla Bruni with elegance and soul. Equally at ease on opera stages and in more relaxed cabaret settings, Lily offers a warm and modern homage to the great voices of French chanson.

Musette Suzette returns as our beloved bal musette band, setting the mood with accordion-led classics and festive French tunes. Whether you're dancing, sipping wine, or simply enjoying the evening, their joyful energy will make you feel like you’re spending Bastille Day in a Parisian square.
