Discover Adrienne de La Fayette: A Woman at the Heart of Two Revolutions, a new exhibition presented by the French Library in partnership with the Fondation Josée et René de Chambrun. Created as part of the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution, the exhibition shines a light on an extraordinary woman whose contributions have long remained in the shadow of her celebrated husband, the Marquis de Lafayette.

Through five richly illustrated thematic panels, visitors follow Adrienne's journey from Adrienne de Noailles to a central figure of the revolutionary era. The exhibition explores her courage during the French Revolution, her unwavering support for the American cause, her commitment to education, philanthropy, and the abolitionist movement, and her enduring role in strengthening the friendship between France and the United States.

Drawing on the unique collections of the Fondation Josée et René de Chambrun, the exhibition offers a fresh perspective on a remarkable woman whose intelligence, resilience, and convictions placed her at the heart of two revolutions.
