General Information

We now offer classes to prepare you for the DELF TP. Students ages 17+ at the levels A1 to B2 can register.

Prepare with confidence using 100% Réussite DELF, the official preparation series by Didier FLE, our long‑time trusted publishing partner. 100% Réussite DELF will be a required purchase for both private lessons and group classes.

Our targeted program offers structured, results‑driven preparation aligned with DELF expectations, guided by expert instructors of the French Library Alliance Française of Boston & Cambridge.

The French Library DOES NOT OFFER THE DELF EXAMS, only preparatory classes. Here are the next national exam dates:

Upcoming Group classes - Duration, Schedule & Course Overview

Our DELF preparation courses help learners affirm the linguistic skills, strategies, and confidence needed to succeed in the official DELF examinations. Each level focuses on exam tasks while strengthening real‑life communication skills.

Level A1 – Beginner Total duration: 14 hours
Course length: 7 weeks
Schedule: 1 session per week (2 hours)

This course is designed for beginners or near‑beginners. Learners review basic French to communicate in simple everyday situations, such as introducing themselves, asking for information, and understanding short written and spoken texts. Special attention is given to DELF A1 exam formats and expectations.

Level A2 – Elementary Total duration: 18 hours
Course length: 9 weeks
Schedule: 1 session per week (2 hours)

At A2 level, learners strengthen their ability to communicate in familiar contexts (work, leisure, travel). The course focuses on comprehension and expression skills while expanding vocabulary and grammar. Students practice DELF A2 tasks to gain confidence and fluency in both spoken and written French.

Level B1 – Intermediate Total duration: 22 hours
Course length: 5½ weeks
Schedule: 2 sessions per week (2 hours)

This course prepares learners to express opinions, narrate experiences, and interact more independently in French. Emphasis is placed on argumentation, text organization, and exam strategies. Learners become familiar with DELF B1 requirements and develop the skills needed to succeed in both written and oral exams.

Level B2 – Upper Intermediate Total duration: 24 hours
Course length: 6 weeks
Schedule: 2 sessions per week (2 hours)

The B2 preparation course targets learners who wish to communicate with ease and precision in complex situations. Students work on advanced comprehension, structured writing, and oral argumentation. The course includes intensive practice of DELF B2 exam tasks to help learners demonstrate autonomy and linguistic accuracy.

How to Register & Questions

All registrations for group classes and custom private lessons will be done over the phone with Reception or the Education Department. Prior to being able to register, you will be asked to complete a detailed placement test so that we make sure you are at the right level.
