About this Class

This course explores the strange, illogical, and fascinating aspects of the French language that even advanced learners find challenging. Through real-life examples and authentic usage, participants learn how French actually works beyond grammar rules: implicit meaning, exceptions, subtle nuances, and cultural conventions.

Course objectives:
- Understand and interpret implicit meaning, understatement, and polite indirect language
- Master common irregularities, exceptions, and “illogical” structures in French
- Choose more natural and precise wording in spoken and written French
- Decode authentic French communication in professional and social contexts
- Speak and write with greater confidence, cultural awareness, and nuance
