This course invites participants to explore how emotions, thoughts, and inner experiences are expressed in French through some of the greatest works of French literature. Through themes such as consciousness, memory, desire, and nostalgia, we will discover how renowned authors have pushed the boundaries of the French language to capture the complexities of inner life, while helping to shape a distinctive vision of the “French soul.”
