About this Class
Do you feel confident reading French but struggle to follow conversations when native speakers talk? Do you often catch individual words but miss the overall meaning, or find yourself asking people to repeat what they have just said? If so, this class is designed for you.
This B1 course focuses on developing the listening skills that are essential for effective communication in French. Through a wide range of authentic audio materials, including interviews, podcasts, conversations, news segments, and cultural features, you will learn to better understand spoken French in a variety of contexts and accents. Each session will help you identify key information, recognize common speech patterns, and improve your ability to understand French as it is naturally spoken.
Along the way, you will expand your vocabulary, reinforce important grammatical structures, and develop practical strategies for managing difficult listening situations. Guided activities and group discussions will help you build confidence while transforming listening from a source of frustration into a rewarding learning experience.
By the end of the course, you will be better equipped to follow conversations, understand spoken media, and respond more naturally and confidently in French. Whether your goal is travel, work, study, or personal enrichment, this class will help you sharpen one of the most challenging and important language skills: listening comprehension.
