About this Class
In this engaging class on French idioms, designed for advanced beginner to intermediate students, we will explore the rich and colorful expressions that make the French language so unique. Through interactive activities, students will learn the meanings and cultural contexts of various idioms, such as avoir le cafard (to feel blue) and coûter les yeux de la tête (to cost an arm and a leg) or appuyer sur le champignon (illustrated above!). We'll practice using these idioms in everyday conversations, enhancing both comprehension and speaking skills. By the end of the course, students will not only expand their vocabulary but also gain a deeper appreciation for the nuances of French culture and communication.
