About this Class

Why do the French linger at cafés? What makes a market visit a weekly ritual? Why are terraces, books, gardens, and seasonal traditions such an important part of everyday life?
In this warm and conversational course, students will discover the small pleasures that shape daily life across France and the Francophone world. Through authentic articles, videos, photos, and discussions, learners will expand their vocabulary while reflecting on their own sources of happiness. Each week explores a different aspect of la joie de vivre and culminates in the creation of a personal "guide du bonheur quotidien."
