Join us for the next installment of our French Lens on Art series, this time focusing on women artists whose creative visions have shaped the history of modern and contemporary art.

Led in French by Isabelle Slotine, this guided tour will trace the creative journeys of women artists across centuries and continents. From the refined portraiture of Élisabeth Vigée Le Brun and the Impressionist visions of Mary Cassatt, to the modernist expressions of Florine Stettheimer and the bold, imaginative worlds of Frida Kahlo, Remedios Varo, Maria Auxiliadora da Silva, Loïs Mailou Jones, and Tara Donovan—this visit offers a rich exploration of female perspectives in art. (Please note that specific works on view may vary depending on gallery rotation.)

After the tour, guests are invited to continue the conversation over a drink at the museum café. Isabelle looks forward to answering your questions.

Former culture journalist in Paris, Isabelle Slotine graduated from Sciences-Po and has master's degrees in French Law and French History. She is a class 2022 Associate guide at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston.
