About this Event
At Travel Club you’ll meet people who love to travel like you do. You’ll share your travel experiences and discoveries. You'll trade tips on how to get there, where to stay, what to do, and more. Best of all, you’ll meet and make friends with people who share your passion for traveling to France and other Francophone places. The Travel Club is open to members of the French Library + 1 guest.
Bringing a guest? Great! Please help us plan and register for "2." Want to attend but not a member yet? Sign up here! Please note that you must register for each instance of the Travel Club separately.
About David Carroll
David Carroll is a PhD candidate in the Agriculture, Food, and Environment program at the Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy at Tufts University. He is currently collaborating with other researchers on evaluations of rural development programs implemented in Niger and Burkina Faso, analysis of coastal ecosystem health in Indonesia, and analysis of the role of digital technology adoption in small business development in several countries across Sub-Saharan Africa. In between his master’s and PhD programs, David worked full-time for three years in the agriculture, nutrition, and environmental sectors in Haiti, first as an agricultural research and extension program manager for a nonprofit organization that manufactures and distributes therapeutic food products, and next as executive director of an agricultural technical college in Northeast Haiti.
David enjoys learning languages, and he speaks French, Haitian Creole, Antillean Creole (a French-based creole language spoken in Dominica and St. Lucia), and Spanish in addition to his native English.
