About this Event

Using the creatures in Le bestiaire as inspiration, children will create their own animal costumes. Children will exercise their imaginations using a variety of arts supplies to craft their own piece of wearable art. Devised by graphic designer Amélie Doistau and illustrator Tomoë Sugira, this design laboratory is inspired by the forms, colors and patterns of existing animals. Once all the animal reveries are down on paper, the carnival can begin: the beasts are unleashed! They roar, sing, meow, growl... They fly, swim, run, jump and pounce...

Le-Bestiaire_Web-Header

Imagined by French designer Ionna Vautrin, Le bestiaire is a collection of costumes that celebrates the animal kingdom, rousing the imaginations of young and old alike. An eclectic team of French artists applied their illustrative fantasies to create an imaginary zoo of abstract, unexpected and hyper realistic animals, from the very tame to the extremely wild.
