In Antoine de Saint-Exupéry's beloved novel, the Little Prince travels to seven planets, meeting seven special characters along the way. Your mission? Continue the story and envision an eighth planet and character for him to meet!

Le concours | The contest

Children, teens, and adults under 25 are invited to submit a short text in French (2,500 characters maximum, spaces included) by February 28 on our e-library, Culturethèque.

Ten winning texts will be chosen from submissions worldwide and two of Thomas Pesquet's coups de coeur will be read from space on April 6, 2017.

A native Mainer, Christianne has worked in libraries all her life and came to the Center after three years of managing the library at the Alliance Française in Washington DC. She has a B.A. in French Studies from Smith College, a MLIS from Simmons College, and loves children's literature, BDs, and cookbooks. When she is not at the library, you can find her traveling, baking, and - quelle surprise! - reading new books.
