Dany Laferrière est l'un des écrivains francophones les plus populaires et prolifiques de notre époque. Né en Haïti en 1953, il a habité à Port-au-Prince, Montréal, New York, et Miami, et est membre de l’Académie française. Son œuvre traverse tout autant les frontières ; il passe de la fiction à la poésie, de la mémoire à la philosophie. La matière de sa vie enrichit son écriture. Il est connu pour les thèmes d’immigration et d’exil, de la culture et de race, de la famille et d’identité. Même si vous avez déjà eu la chance de lire un de ses livres, il vous restera toujours quelque chose à découvrir.
