Do you ever want to dive headfirst into a topic, but aren’t quite sure with which books to start? If you’ve visited the children’s room in the past two weeks, you may have seen our newest display above the fireplace which aims to help with this very situation!

Book bundles (bouquets de livres) are a great way to get introduced to a subject with four fiction and non-fiction books carefully selected by the library team. These bundles are recommended for children aged 3-5 and 5-7 on a variety of themes. Our current selection includes: princesses, dinosaurs, crocodiles, and professions. Once these bundles have been checked out, we’re excited to offer our next batch of bundles on bedtime, siblings, and various things that go bump in the night!

For your convenience, the bundle will count as 4 individual items at checkout, but we can certainly pull a book from its grouping should you only want to borrow one. Ready for another selection? Book bundles can be returned together or separately to the circulation desk or in our bookdrop by the front door.

Please let us know your favorites when you return them, or suggest a bundle for our next grouping. Each bundle will be held together by twine and sport a note card with this information and the topic included.

We hope to help you find some new favorites on your next visit to the library! Bonne lecture !

Ingrid began her passion for French through the immersion program in Milton, MA, and has followed it around France and the world. She took a break from this first love to pursue a B.A. in English with a minor in Irish Studies at Boston College and a Masters of Library and Information Sciences at Simmons College. She is thrilled to meld her excitement for libraries and French language and culture in her position at the Center!
