I’m not a professional fundraiser and never thought that I would be writing an “annual appeal letter,” but when asked to do so for the French Library, I agreed immediately!

As a proud member and supporter of the French Library, I hope you will join me in making a contribution to the 2019 Annual Fund.

The Center is a unique place where Francophiles and French speakers, of all ages and levels of proficiency, meet to explore French culture and share their love of the French language. I try to take advantage of everything that the Center has to offer – from the library, classes, and cultural events, to book groups and workshops (some conducted entirely in French, which I love!).

I hope you have had the opportunity to learn about our world through the French Library, as I have!

"These programs have opened my eyes to traditions, social and economic issues, and simple aspects of everyday life across the Francophone world that I otherwise might never have considered. I never would have known about the history and struggle of Haitian artists or studied poetry in French, if not for the Center. "

The continued ability of the Center to provide high-quality education and diverse programs is incredibly important to me. I do everything I can to support the Center, including volunteering my time on a regular basis. But, I also know that these efforts are not enough.

Please consider joining me in supporting the Center by donating to the Annual Fund. Our 2019 goal is $100,000 so every gift counts! Gifts, of any amount, are appreciated and will enable the Center to continue to unite people from many countries and backgrounds with educational, social and cultural programs that inspire all of us to be world citizens.

Thank you for being part of our wonderful, vibrant community, and for your thoughtful consideration. I look forward to seeing you soon au Centre!

Bien à vous,
Kristin Lacroix, Member
