Join MFA French Associate Guide, Isabelle Slotine, who will reveal the secrets of iconic Palais de Versailles. Isabelle has prepared two remarkable conferences for the French Library. The first one tells the story of the 17th-century palace's creation, along with the formal French gardens of Versailles, according to Le Roi Soleil's wishes. The second one will take us from the 18th Century’s transformations of Versailles, under the influence of two women, Madame de Pompadour and Queen Marie-Antoinette… to nowadays.

The in-person conferences (at the French Library) will be followed by a Q&A session and a glass of wine.

About Isabelle Slotine

Former culture journalist in Paris, Isabelle Slotine graduated from Sciences-Po and has master's degrees in French Law and French History. She is a class 2022 Associate guide at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston.
