Every third Thursday in November, France celebrates Le Beaujolais nouveau. Join us at The French Library to taste the 2023 millésime from Georges Duboeuf, the best known Beaujolais nouveau wine maker. Come and meet your fellow francophiles while enjoying this wine and your favorite French appetizers from La Voile.

This event is presented in conjunction with the French American Chamber of Commerce of New England (FACCNE).

About Georges Duboeuf

Beaujolais. Doesn’t the word alone have a magical sound to it? Beaujolais is a wine to be celebrated. Built in our family’s image, we have worked throughout the years to make Beaujolais an essential addition to every table. This wine is as popular as it is festive, friendly and joyful.

The story begins over 4 centuries ago, when the Duboeuf family was producing wine in the Mâconnais region. Georges was very young when his uncle and brother passed down both their passion for wine and their secrets of production. At just 18 years old, he preferred to take care of the family business with his brother rather than pursuing his studies.

Given the rise of Covid-19 cases and respiratory illnesses, we strongly encourage our visitors to wear a mask while visiting the French Library. Please stay home when you are sick with any respiratory illness symptoms and if you know that you have been in contact with a person who recently contracted COVID-19. The health and well-being of all our visitors and staff are our number one priority. Thank you.
