Bio
Kayla Soares is an adjunct professor of French and Italian at Bryant University, Roger Williams University and the University of Rhode Island. She previously taught French at Mt. Hope High School in Bristol. Kayla holds a Bachelor’s degree in French and a Master’s degree in Education (with a French and Italian focus) from the University of Rhode Island. She also holds a Master’s degree in French Language Teaching from Southern Oregon University through l’Université Catholique de l’Ouest in Angers, France. Her research interests focus on curriculum development, phonetics, translation, and second language acquisition. Additionally, she is the former test administrator for the AATF-RI. Driven by her passion for travel and exploration, Kayla has lived and studied in France as well as visited Italy, Spain, Germany, Switzerland, Costa Rica, and islands in the French Caribbean.
