Bienvenue! Please consult our SPRING 2024 program for kids and teens below to find the right course for child. You may use the search bar below to find classes according to their age and language background.

Our language classes offer comprehensive instruction in French, while creative learning courses teach subjects like art, science or film in French.

See some of our core classes
    • Classes for students learning French as a foreign language: les Canards, les Hiboux, les Pingouins, les Aigles, Les Ados...
    • Classes for students with native/near-native competency: les Lapinous, les Hérissons, les Écureuils, les Castors, les Renards, les Lynx, Les Ados Bilingues...

Level progression for students (5-17 years old) learning French as a foreign language
Each course level (e.g. Les Hiboux 1) is comprised of 3 "steps" that follow our seasonal offerings (Fall, Winter and Spring). Students need to successfully complete all 3 steps - or obtain their teacher's recommendation - before moving up a level (e.g. Les Hiboux 2). Participation in the Summer in French program is also highly encouraged but not required to move up a level. How do our class levels work?

Classes for native and bilingual students
We offer classes for native and bilingual children. We might direct your child to a FLE class instead depending on their exposure to the French language.

Placement Test for new or returning students (10-17 years old)
If your child is new to our programs and between the ages of 10 and 17, please have them take our Placement Test for Kids & Teens to ensure they enroll in the right course level. Complete beginners with no previous experience in French do not need to take this test. Students who have taken a class with us within a year do not have to take the exam as well.

Class Materials
Parents/Guardians are responsible for purchasing required textbooks, workbooks and supplies. Please refrain from purchasing any materials until your child's teacher confirms that they are placed at the right level following the first class; book information will be communicated to you at that point.

What families say about our classes
My child has steadily grown more and more enthusiastic about learning French which has been wonderful to watch.
Enjoy the personalized attention and level of commitment from the teacher and team.
Patricia is truly gifted as a teacher and her love of teaching is so apparent.
My son particularly has liked his connections with the teachers that know him throughout the years. He feels connected to his current teacher and leaves telling me that he had a great class with Alan. Both of my boys thanked me for signing them up again for the spring semester. For kids, that is huge especially as the schedule does compete with other activities.
The material is easy to understand and Audrey measured their comfort level and verfied that they understood. It is a great opportunity for them to hear the language spoken by a native speaker.
