About this Class
Based on thematic projects, children develop their oral comprehension and speaking skills through songs, games, movement and fine-motor-skill activities. Our teaching methodology for near-native and bilingual speakers caters to different types of learners – whether visual, auditory or kinesthetic. This multimodal approach helps bilinguals put their previous exposure to French to use and encourages them to describe objects and characters in stories as well as form sentences to express how they feel. In addition, the class introduces prewriting skills and the French alphabet. We focus on creating a dynamic, fun and comfortable learning experience to help children develop a positive relationship with French. By creating a comfortable and engaging classroom environment, our teachers encourage experiential learning. In addition to being immersed in French, children will connect with their home language and socialize with children of similar proficiency.
