About this ClassIn this class students meet and follow the lives of pre-teens from the French-speaking world and progress through fun yet challenging exercises, games and projects that draw from their “multiple intelligences.”
With an emphasis on authentic communication, the class’ task-based approach also helps students develop an understanding of the grammar and spelling of French. Ultimately, our goal is not only to teach students language skills but give them the ability to interpret and navigate the world from different perspectives.
Required materials: Sésame 1 textbook and workbook by Hachette FLE This course is designed for students with little to no previous experience in French. Homework will be required.
If your child is new to the Center and between the ages of 10 and 16 and not a complete beginner, please have them take our Placement Test for Kids & Teens to ensure they enroll in the right course level.
